There are many self proclaimed so called "experts" out there. Many out there, sitting in their living room, just selling equipment to you over the phone, use unregistered, unqualified people to install at your premises. This makes you liable for prosecution in France. Ensure, before they arrive, that the installer will show you their registration papers, their APE codes and also request they come with insurance documents. Remember, if they fall off the ladder with no insurance, YOU get the medical bills along with the fine.

"Of course you can drill through the wall in France without protective conduit for the cable"

"We only take UK Cash or Cheque"

(Ask yourself, why UK currency? If it is supposed to be a french registered business. It's highly likely they are involving you in french  tax/tva evasion.)
